(CNN) -- Severe thunderstorms in the Detroit area on Friday night left one person dead and several houses damaged, a local official in Michigan told CNN on Saturday.
Marc Breckenridge, Washtenaw County emergency service director, told CNN a fallen tree pinned a woman in her car and lightning caused fires at several houses.
