According to the Kansas City Star a 47 year old man from Jackson County Missouri has died as a result of the excessive heat that has been gripping the region for the past week.

This just proves the fact that it is not only the young or old that can fall victim to the heat. Everyone is at risk no matter your age or fitness level. The heat has a cumulative effect on the body. That means that you can be fine in the heat for a few days, but now that the heat wave has been around for a week and is not going anywhere soon, the body will start to be affected.

Stay safe out there.
