A number of cooling centers have been set up for those who need to escape these dangerous temperatures.
You can visit a Topeka Community Center or Salvation Army to cool off.
Several community centers around topeka have been converted into cooling centers, they are:
Abbott Community Center 1112 E. 10th
Monday-Friday 6-8 pm
Saturday 9 am-4 pm
Central Park Community Center
1534 SW Clay
Monday-Thursday 9 am-8 pm
Friday 9 am-3 pm
Saturday & Sunday - Closed
Crestview Community Center

Monday-Thursday 9 am-2 pm; 5:30-8 pm
