TOPEKA, Kan. (WIBW) -- A third death is being blamed on the recent winter weather, according to the Kansas Highway Patrol (KHP). An unidentified 58-year old man died overnight following a crash on Tuesday, said Maj. John Eichorn.

The Mound Ridge man was involved in a two-vehicle wreck in Harvey Co. shortly before 8:00 a.m. on I-135 just north of Hesston. The man was taken to a nearby hospital where he later died, KHP reports indicate.

The Kansas Highway Patrol already reported two deaths just south of Pittsburg in Crawford Co. on Tuesday. The driver in one vehicle, a 59 year-old woman from Pittsburg, and a passenger in the other vehicle, a 67 year-old woman from Parson, were both killed.

KHP said that crash appeared to be weather related as well.
