Average First Freeze for Kansas

GFS Forecast Model
Monday Morning, October 13th
This map shows temperatures in the lower to middle 30s across much of Kansas. Given the time of year, these numbers are quite reasonable. The area circled in red... would be 30 to 35 degrees. That said, this is still a week away... and forecasts have a tendency to "change".
But... you gardeners know the drill. Be ready for a potential frost early next week. If not October 13th, we are certainly getting closer to that first freeze.
