Storm Reports:

Republic County Sheriffs Report:
There are 2 people trapped in the basement of their home. They are said to be okay. There is so much debris on the upper level they are not able to get out of the basement area, emergency crews are on the scene.

13's Brian Quick & Photographer Josh Mabry are on there way to Belleville in Republic County & Jewell in Jewell County to survey damage. We hope to have video on our morning show--if the crew doesn't make it back by then Brian Quick will have live reports via his cell phone.

Republic County Sheriffs Report:
Major damage to at least 6 homes.
No injuries have been reported.
Lots of power lines down.

The National Weather Service is Reporting:
Major damage to the south side of the city of Jewell. Power is out with emergency crews on scene.
Power poles and lines are reported down everywhere.
Tree limbs 12 inches in diameter are reported down; extensive damage reported.

Jewell County Sheriffs Report:
No confirmed injuries
They do have reports of structure damage to homes
Deputies and volunteers are going street by street checking for injuries.

Smith County Sheriffs Report:
2-3 inches of rain on K9 Highway
Gold ball size hail near Smith Center
2 funnel clouds reported earlier in Gaylord and Kinsington.

Mitchell County Sheriffs Report:
Glen Elder area hit hard: A lot of power lines down. No reports of any structure damage. No reports of injuries.

Republic County Sheriffs Report:
Power lines down in the rural sections of the western portion of the county.
Report of three different areas where tornados were reported. All areas just to the north of Scandia going north east.
No reports of structure damage or injuries.

Jewell County:
Tornado Warning in effect until 10:45PM
The storm is located near Otego.

Republic County:
Tornado Warning remains in effect. Long lived tornado reported on the ground to the north of Belleville.

Jewell County Sheriffs Report:
The water tower has been destroyed
There are reports of structure damage
Sheriffs making rounds right now to determine damage and injuries.
No confirmed injuries at this time.
Tornado confirmed by Sheriffs on the ground east of Jewell

Mitchell County Sheriffs Report:
Glen Elder hit hardest in the count reports of power lines and trees down in the town.
