The Flood Watch that was in effect for much of east central and portions of northeast Kansas has been cancelled.

A low pressure system will move through eastern Kansas this morning into the afternoon hours bringing showers and thunderstorms into the area. At this time the speed of the low pressure system appears to be fast enough that sufficient rainfall to produce flooding will not fall over the watch area, therefore the watch has been cancelled. Individual thunderstorms may produce local flooding problems, however widespread flooding is no longer anticipated.

The flood watch for portions of east central Kansas and northeast Kansas has been cancelled. While showers and thunderstorms remain possible across the watch area late this morning and through the late afternoon hours, the potential for these storms to produce widespread flooding of area rivers and streams looks low, therefore the flood watch has been cancelled. Individual thunderstorms may still produce some local flooding problems late this morning or this afternoon, but these problems are expected to remain isolated in nature.
