The Snow has ended and the skies are clearing. We will see lots of sunshine today and that will help the road conditions. The sunshine will warm our temperatures into the upper 20s this afternoon, but a stiff West wind at 10-20mph will keep wind chills in the 5-15 degree range. 6:15PM... Moderate snow continues at this time. Topeka is close to one inch of snow and many area roadways are covered in snow. Snow will end around Midnight.

4:20PM... Moderate snow with temperatures below freezing at this time. Winds are gusting to 20 and 25 mph at times as well and temperatures will continue to fall this evening. So far... about 1 inch of snow has been reported in north central Kansas and more is on the way. 1 - 3 inches is our current projection... with an isolated 4 inches possible.

2:23PM...Temperatures in Topeka have dropped below the freezing mark so we should start to see some snow accumulation on the roadways. We have had a few reports of an inch or less of snow in North Central Kansas.

12:43PM...Snow Advisory continues to be in effect through Thursday morning at 6:00AM. Snow accumulations of 1-4 inches are still expected across the area.

10:46AM...Light Snow has begun in Topeka. As we progress through the day temperatures will continue to fall and the snow will start to stick. This evenings rush hour looks to be a tricky situation as we could have some snow packed roads. Total accumulations of 2-4 inches with some locally higher amounts are still expected by Thursday Morning.

10:08am - Light snow reported in Concordia, mixed precipitation in Salina, light rain in Lawrence and Olathe, snow at Topeka's Billard Airport and Forbes Field.

10:00am - Light snow reported in Concordia, mixed precipitation in Salina, light rain in Lawrence and Olathe, snow at Topeka's Billard Airport and light rain at Topeka's Forbes Field.

10:00am - Light to moderate snow mixing with rain and sleet across portions of east central Kansas. Locations along a line from Meriden through Topeka to near Emporia will be most likely to see snow. Slick spots are developing along several roadways across the area. Reduced visibilities can be expected where moderate snow is falling.
