For Topeka and Vicinity...

The 0.02" of mixed precipitation received at Phillip Billard Airport Wednesday, November 21st ended the recent streak of days with no measureable precipitation at 29 days.

While this seems like a long time, it only ties for the 21st longest dry stretch on record.

The most consecutive days without receiving precipitation in Topeka is 49 days, ending on January 26th 1923.

The most recent longer dry spell than the one we just broke was 30 days ending on September 20th 2000.

For Concordia and Vicinity...

Concordia last received measurable precipitation on October 18th (the airport ASOS only reported a Trace November 21st), which is 36 days of dryness.

This ranks 25th for the longest stretch with no measureable precipitation.

With precipitation chances looking good this evening, this ongoing streak is expected to end today, Friday, November 23rd.

The most consecutive days without receiving measurable precipitation is 62 days, ending on January 19th 1902.

The most recent longer dry spell than the ongoing one is 37 days, ending on July 27th 2002.
