The dew point temperature is a number that we look at to see how much moisture is in the air. On Saturday morning at 7:00AM, the dew point temperature was 30 degrees. This mean the air was very dry. However, by Saturday evening at 6:00PM the dew point had risen to 56 degrees thanks to strong Southerly winds. So lots of moisture has been added to our atmosphere. Southerly winds will continue on Sunday and more moisture will move in, raising the dew points into the low 60s by Monday. A cold front will then sweep across the state and this time we will have enough moisture in place to see some rain and possibly a thunderstorm or two on Monday.
