What does PDA stand for?

Personal Digital
Assistant. PDA is a computer that fits in the palm of your hand.
Its main purpose is to carry your PIM (person information manager)
applications and data: address book, calendar, notes and tasks.

Where can I buy a PDA?

PDAs can be
purchased at your local electronics or computer store.

PDAs have become very popular in the last few years and many stores are
beginning to carry a wide selection of PDAs.

History of the PDA

Apple Computers,
which introduced the Newton MessagePad in 1993, was one of the first
companies to offer PDAs. Shortly thereafter, several other manufacturers
offered similar products. Today, several companies manufacture PDAs and
many other products are incorporating PDAs into their technology.
Example cell phones and hand held televisions.

PDAs are also called palmtops, hand-held computers, and pocket
computers.
