During the month of May enjoy a nice ride through the Flint Hills of Kansas from Alma to Herington and visit/shop the many unique Antique Shops in these small towns. You will be given a passport at your first stop which will be stamped, no purchase is necessary. Once you have your passport completed, you can drop off at your last stop to be entered into a drawing for one of 3 prizes of gift certificates of $25 or $50 or $100 good at all these locations. FREE Screening of "Years of Living Dangerously" episode featuring Kansas Wind Farm

The Climate + Energy Project is hosting a screening of the sixth segment, “Against the Wind”, during the Showtime debut, Monday, May 19th at 7:00 pm at Liberty Hall Theater in Lawrence. This segment features Kansas rancher, Pete Ferrell. Ferrell’s ranch in south-central Kansas is also home to one of the state’s first wind farms, the Elk River Wind Farm. The screening is presented at no charge.
The public screening of the documentary will be followed by a panel discussion. Panelists will include: Pete Ferrell, Elk River Wind Farm; Kimberly Gencur Svaty, the Wind Coalition; and Dr. Johannes Feddema, KU Geography and contributor to International Panel on Climate Change (IPCC) Reports. Cynthia Haines, KCUR Film Critic, will serve as moderator.
