More than a hundred teams are signed up to take part in this year's Sunflower State Games youth basketball competitions.
The Sports Zone is the site for teams featuring 9-10 graders.
Among Saturday's action, two Topeka area teams matched up. Topeka Hutton Monuments topped the T-Birds, 55-47. A court away, recent KU graduate Jeremy Case was coaching the Lawrence Rivals. This summer is the first time he's coaching a team of his own, and Case says he's having a great experience. The Rivals took on a Topeka-area team, the Kansas Storm. The Rivals started slow, but came back to win, 52-44.
The tournament continues Sunday.
