TOPEKA, Kan.— The deadline to register for the Sunflower State Games is Friday, July 11th at 5 p.m. Those interesed may register online at www.sunflowergames.com. The Games also accepts registrations by mail, fax or in the office at 820 S. Kansas Ave. Topeka, KS. Some of the 40 different sports also accepts day-of registrations.
Topeka will host the 19th annual sports festival July 11-27 completing its seventh year in the Capitol city. Handball, Pickleball, Powerlifting and Table Tennis joins the line-up for new sports offered in the 2008 Games. All athletes and volunteers are invited to the Athlete and Volunteer Festival on Friday, July 18 at 6:00 at Hummer Sports Park.
The Sunflower State Games is a non-profit, statewide amateur sports festival for all Kansans. The purpose of the Games is to provide top-quality amateur competition in a wide range of activities and promote physical fitness, personal health and well-being for Kansans of all ages and skill levels.
