Topeka, KAN (WIBW) - The names of the Salina mother and her two children who were killed in an auto accident on Westbound I-70 have been released.

Patrol says that the minivan's driver, 37-year-old Laura Geske was pronounced dead along with her two children, Joshua Geske, 8, and Joy Geske, 3, all of Salina. Laura's husband, Jeffrey Geske, 41, and another son, Jacob Geske, 3, were taken to Stormont-Vail Hospital. The patrol says that their injuries do not appear life threatening.

Jeffrey Geske is pastor of Christ the King Lutheran Church in Salina, KSAL radio reported.

The crash happened around 3:15 p.m. Saturday when an Eastbound
Dodge Challenger red car crossed the interstate's grassy median and collided with the Westbound van.

The driver of the car, 62-year-old Steven Moore of Topeka, was
taken to the same hospital. The patrol says his injuries don't
appear life-threatening.

The Salina family was in a blue 2003 Ford Windstar driven by Laura Geske in the right-hand lane of westbound I-70.

The two vehicles collided head-on.

Both drivers and all passengers were wearing their seatbelts (children in proper booster seats).

Extrication crews were called to the scene. Occupants from both vehicles were extricated. Life Star was also called but later canceled.

As of 7:48 p.m. Saturday night, all lanes of Westbound I-70 west of Topeka are open to all traffic. The traffic accident has been cleared and roadway reopened to normal traffic operations.
