Andy Weingarten was the morning and mid-day meteorologist at WIBW-TV from June 1986, until March 1997. He forecasted for both radio and television and co-hosted the program "Take 5" with Betty Lou Pardue and Sally Baltes. Andy is currently running his own weather consulting business in the energy and financial industries. He has clients in the United States, Canada, and Europe. He also is the weekend meteorologist at WAVE-TV in Louisville, KY. His most memorable broadcasting event while at WIBW-TV was the November 1988 tornado that struck the west side of Topeka and damaged Topeka West high school. He spent almost two hours on the air giving out valuable information.
Andy lives in Louisville, KY, with his wife, LeAnn. They have two daughters.
