Michelle Bandur

Michelle Bandur worked as a reporter and anchor at WIBW from February of 1991 to February of 1996. Michelle reported on the bombing of the Federal Building in Oklahoma City, and the subsequent search for Terry Nichols in Herington. She vividly remembers the memorial made for the children who died in the explosion.

Michelle also covered the aftermath of the Andover tornado which destroyed much of that town in April of 1991. Her helicopter trip from Topeka to Andover was a memorable one, as the pilot had to land the chopper in a field because of Michelle's queasy stomach.

Michelle has worked in a number of television markets including San Antonio, Los Angeles, and more recently, Omaha. Michelle has also taught Broadcast Journalism at Cal-State University in Fullerton, CA. She is currently reporting for Action 3 News in Omaha, her hometown. She received a First Place Nebraska Associated Press Award for a story she did on the dangers of staying in a hot car too long without air conditioning. Michelle is a graduate of Iowa State University.
