Meet Ed Aldrine II, Topeka Storm Intercept Team

Back when Eddie was a kid in Topeka, Kansas, he used to have numerous dreams of tornadoes and severe weather. This ended up fueling his desire to chase severe weather when he became an adult.

One fateful day when Eddie was 7 years old, a tornado tore through part of Topeka, only a block away from where he was at daycare after kindergarten. This was the day that sealed his destiny to become a storm chaser.

As he grew up, he’d ask his dad to take to him local weather spotter meetings in Topeka to become more educated in meteorology. Later on, in high school, Eddie would go out after class was let out to chase with his buddies around northeast Kansas.

Then finally, once in college, Eddie began to chase all over the Central Plains with a high school friend, Curtis Geiken.
