As a child I was constantly asking questions. This desire to always know what's going on led me to a career in news. For as long as I can remember this has been my dream and I could not be happier that it has come true!
I joined the WIBW-TV news team as a reporter in April 2007. I am so excited to be here! I am from Overland Park, and being close to home allows me to spend time with my three younger brothers.
In December, 2006 I graduated Cum Laude from Western Kentucky University with a degree in Broadcast News and a minor in Political Science. You're probably asking; why Kentucky? Well, I wanted a change of scenery. Southern hospitality is definitely all it's cracked up to be, I can assure you! While looking again to change my scenery, I began my career in journalism in sunny southern California. I interned at KGTV in San Diego, CA and later at KESQ in Palm Desert, CA.
You may have noticed by now that I love to travel! It is a passion of mine and I cannot wait to explore the world! If you have any recommendations please pass them along. When I'm not off to faraway places I enjoy reading, working out, cooking (this is new for me), and movies.
I am adjusting to life here in Topeka and I am thrilled to be meeting so many people on a daily basis. Becoming involved in the community is something I am looking forward to. I feel very fortunate to have the opportunity to tell the stories that impact all of our lives on a daily basis.
