I’ve known I wanted to be a reporter since I was little. In home movies, you would find me constantly interviewing my baby brother with my hairbrush as a microphone. Growing up in Kansas City, I got my first taste of television news in high school where I anchored and reported for the school district’s cable channel.
My love for journalism and politics really flourished in college at the University of Missouri-Columbia. While there, I began my career reporting for NPR affiliates across Missouri from the state Capitol. As an intern at Fox News Channel in New York City, I learned so much being exposed to the national and international news scene.
I also spent two years during college reporting and anchoring for KOMU, the NBC affiliate in Columbia. A few of my most exciting memories include heading down to Louisiana to cover the aftermath of Hurricane Katrina and dodging tornadoes for hours, reporting a record outbreak of severe weather in Missouri.
I am so excited to be here in Northeast Kansas and look forward to being a part of this community! In my free time I love learning new languages, playing my violin, running, traveling, and spending time with my friends and family. I love talking to people so if you have any ideas for a story or just want to say hello, send me an e-mail!
