I grew up on a farm just outside the small town of Mound City, Missouri; a place I am proud to call home. Despite growing up in Missouri, I’ve bled purple since the day I was born and graduated in May of 2013 from Kansas State University after five unforgettable years (EMAW).
Although my passion for K-State athletics drove me to become a Wildcat, it was during my time as a student where I became interested in being more than just a fan of sports.
My career in broadcast kicked off with three years of play-by-play opportunities at football, basketball, and baseball games for the Wildcat 91.9. From 2011-2012 I was given the chance to explore the world of print journalism when I began working as the Sports Editor for the K-State Collegian.
During my final year of college I worked in Junction City as a news and sports reporter for 1420 KJCK where I got my first taste of reporting in a professional setting. Following graduation I moved to Emporia for two short months as the news anchor at 1400 KVOE before taking up my position here at WIBW.
During my free time, I enjoy working out, watching sports, and playing video games. I’m always excited to meet new people and establish friendships, so if you ever see me out in public don’t hesitate to say hello.
I have a vested interested in Manhattan and the surrounding communities and feel privileged to be able to serve the area as a member of the Channel 13 team.
