Meet Lindsey Rogers!

I'm Lindsey Rogers and I am WIBW's bureau reporter, covering the Manhattan and Junction City areas.

I came to WIBW from WTVM-9, the ABC station in Columbus, Georgia which is located southwest of Atlanta near the border of the Peach State and East Alabama. For four years, I reported major crime stories and breaking news as well as the city government. In 2010, I was recognized by the Georgia Association of Broadcasters for a story I did on a little girl's amazing recovery after she was viciously attacked by her neighbor's pit bull. From fires to drug busts and murder scenes, I gained invaluable experience in the field.

Before working at WTVM, I was a production assistant and researcher at NBC 10 in Philadelphia. I worked alongside some amazing anchors, reporters and producers and even had the opportunity to help set up on air segments and interviews.

I've always dreamed of working in television but my career path almost took another direction when my interest in crime scene investigation had me looking at colleges that specialized in forensic chemistry and pathology. However, I was also intrigued with QVC, the home shopping channel based in my hometown of West Chester, Pennsylvania. After meeting a few of the on-air hosts, I knew I wanted to pursue a career in broadcasting. I majored in Broadcast Journalism at Penn State University and fell in love with the fast pace of the news.

My husband is stationed at Fort Riley and I look forward to working with members of the Army community and those in the surrounding areas. I am so excited to be a part of the 13 News team and I can't wait to bring viewers the stories happening in and around Manhattan and Junction City. If you have a story idea, please feel free to email me.
