Emporia State Moves To Regional Final

Searcy, Ark --- Top seeded Emporia State defeated Wayne State 76-69 to earn a spot in the NCAA Division II Central Regional Championship game. ESU shot .440 from the field and got 23 points from their bench as they won their fifth straight post-season game.

For the Lady Hornets Laura Patrick led the way scoring 19 points going five of nine from beyond the arc. Merissa Quick had a double-double scoring 18 points and pulling down a game high 13 rebounds. Desiree Wylie added 14 points and Haley Parker finished with 10 points while Rheanna Egli had five assists.

Emporia State will face Concordia St. Paul at 7 p.m. on March 17 from Searcy, Ark.
