(November 11, 2013) -- Following a scoreless draw at Houston on Saturday in the opening leg of the Eastern Conference Championship series, Sporting Kansas City will have two weeks to prepare for the decisive second leg on Nov. 23 at Sporting Park. The two-game series is decided by total goals scored in both matches with the winner advancing to MLS Cup 2013.
The team will train at 10 a.m. CT Tuesday thru Friday this week at the Sporting Club Training Center in Swope Park (6310 Lewis Rd., Kansas City, MO). All media are encouraged to attend for video, photo and interview opportunities. Coach and player availability will occur immediately after each practice. Additionally, the club will host a weekly press conference at 12 p.m. CT on Thursday at the Sporting Club Training Center in Swope Park. Manager Peter Vermes and a Sporting KC player will discuss the team's playoff run, presented by Ivy Funds, and the match-up with Houston.

The FIFA international dates from Nov. 15-19 kick off on Friday with the U.S. Men's National Team playing an international friendly away to Scotland at 2 p.m. CT on ESPN2, WatchESPN and UniMas. Sporting KC forward Soony Saad joined the Lebanon Men's National Team for AFC Asian Cup qualifiers against Kuwait on Friday and versus Iran on Nov. 19.
