MANHATTAN, Kan. -(WIBW) The sunflower state invasion began Wednesday as KU, K-State and Wichita State officially began their journeys to the NCAA tournament.

The Wildcats decided to soar through the air to St. Louis and left Manhattan at 3 pm.

K-State fans gathered at Manhattan Regional Airport to support Bruce Weber and the team before they took off to prepare for the ninth seeded Kentucky Wildcats on Friday.

Despite the tough draw against UK, Coach Weber said they will play the cards they have been dealt.
