Fred Van Vleet had 18 points and eight assists in the win. Baker and VanVleet had career highs in steals with five a piece as Wichita State forced 18 turnovers, 14 of them came off steals.

Washburn will host Fort Hays State on Wednesday in Lee Arena looking to snap a three-game losing streak. Women: Brittney Lynch's layup in the final seconds of regulation ended a 9-0 Washburn run and forced overtime as the Ichabods went on to win 56-52 Saturday afternoon at the NSU Event Center at Northeastern State.
