WICHITA, Kan. (KAKE) -- The New York Post compiled a list of the 12 creepiest mascots they've ever seen. WuShock, Wichita State University's beloved shock of wheat, landed on that list.
The author of the article writes, "Who knew a shock of wheat could be this angry? Quick, someone fire up the threshing machine and make a Cronut out of this guy before he starts spreading his spores all over your children’s dreams."
Other mascots named include: The Burger King (Burger King), Southern Illinois Saluki (Southern Illinois University), Willie the Wave (Pepperdine University) and King Cake Baby (New Orleans Pelicans).
The article did not include the qualifications needed to make it onto the "creepy" list.
WuShock has been WSU's mascot since 1948.
