Charlie Weis waited a day to hold his Signing Day news conference. It's safe to say that it was worth the wait.
Before fielding questions about what "this player" brings and how big "that player" could get, there was a touching moment.
Weis honored the family of Andre Maloney, by framing a KU Jersey with the KU committ's name on it. Maloney, a standout D-back and receiver at Shawnee Mission West, had verbally committed to KU, but never got the chance to sign his letter of intent.
The 17 year old had a stroke on the field in October, and died in the hospital.
