KEARNEY, Neb. -- The Washburn Ichabod golf team is in ninth place after the first 36 holes of the UNK Fall Invite in the first event of the 2013-14 season. The Ichabods will wrap up the invite with 18 holes on Tuesday.
Ronnie McHenry leads the Ichabods with a 3-over 147 with rounds of 75 and 72 placing him in a tie for 13th.Max Lazzo and Alex Green are in a tie for 37th with two-round scores of 155. Lazzo had scores of 77 and 78 while Green had rounds of 74 and 81.
Garret Allen is in a tie for 58th with rounds of 78 and 83 for a first-day total of 161. Carson Roberts is in a tie for 70th with rounds of 83 and 86.
Nebraska-Kearney leads the tournament by four shots over Lindenwood after recording a team score of 581. The Ichabods had a team score of 618. Following Lindenwood and its score of 585, Fort Hays State is in third with a 594 and Central Oklahoma is fourth with a team score of 595. Central Missouri is in fifth place overall with a score of 596 and Northeastern State has a score of 606 placing them in sixth.
Lindenwood's Jake Smock leads the individual race with a 2-under 142.
