Washburn Ichabod Golfers 12th After Day One Of SoCal Invite

MISSION VIEJO, Calif. -- The Washburn Ichabod golf team is in 12th place after the first round of the 63rd annual SoCal Intercollegiate Chmpionships at the Mission Viejo Country Club. The final two rounds will take place on Tuesday.

Brian Walker leads the Ichabods with a 2-over 73, placing him in a tie for seventh. Trey Siegel is in a tie for 17th with a 4-over 75 and Ronnie McHenry is in a tie for 57th with a 9-over 80.

Sam Schulte is in a tie for 71st with a 12-over 83 and Nathan Hoefflin is in a tie for 79th with a 17-over 88.

The Ichabods had first round score of 311, placing them in 12th overall and 19 shots off the pace set by CSU-Stanislaus who had a 292. Grand Canyon is in second with a team score of 296 and CSU-Monterey Bay is in third with a score of 298.

Fellow MIAA school Central Oklahoma is in sixth as a team with a team score of 303. Southwest Baptist is in 15th place with a team score of 335.
