KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The Washburn Ichabods slipped from No. 2 to No. 8 remaining in the top 10 for the fifth-straight week in the latest NABC Top 25 coaches poll which was released on Tuesday. Washburn will be back in action at 7:30 p.m. on Jan. 2 in Lee Arena when they will face Emporia State.
The Washburn Ichabods dropped to the eighth-spot after their loss at undefeated Newman who jumped from unranked to No. 18 in the poll. The Ichabods have been in the top 10 in the national rankings 50 times while being ranked in the top 25 a total of 92 times since joining the NCAA ranks.
The Ichabods are the only MIAA team ranked in the top 25.
