Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) -- In Topeka on Sunday there was some throw back action.
The Cowtown Vintage Baseball Club came to Topeka to restore an old rivalry at Auburndale Field.
Their uniforms were based off of 1850's and 1860's designs.
Gary Lee, Event Coordinator for Cowtown Vintage Baseball Club said, "Today's game is between a combination of the Wichita Red Stockings and the Wichita Bulldozers from Old Cowtown Museum. And we're playing the Topeka Westerns. It's kind of a rivalry that started back in 1879 that we've renewed this year.
Steve Dodson, Topeka Westerns Vintage Baseball Coach said, "We're playing here at Auburndale Field. named after the community here of Auburndale. Which was later incorporated into Topeka by the 1880's."
