Sporting Kansas City To Hold Ceremony For U-18 Juniors College Commitments

(Feb. 14, 2012) – Sporting Kansas City announced Tuesday that it will hold a special ceremony for members of the Sporting Kansas City Juniors U-18 academy team that will be playing college soccer this fall.

The event will be held in the Shield Club of LIVESTRONG Sporting Park on Wednesday, Feb. 15 and will kick off at 7:00 p.m. CT. Sporting Kansas City Juniors director of coaching Jon Parry and Sporting Kansas City manager Peter Vermes will both be in attendance.

Parry, Vermes and select players will be available for photos and interviews following the event. Media attending the ceremony are instructed to park in the Sprint Plaza and enter through the doors outside of the Shield Club.

The following players from Sporting Kansas City’s U-18 Juniors team will be present at the event:
Daniel Hare – Defender – Loyola University Chicago
Derek Schrick– Midfielder – Southern Methodist University
Taylor Walter – Midfielder – Colgate University
