Silver Lake Two-Sport Standout To Continue Dual Role In College

SILVER LAKE, Kan. (WIBW) - Silver Lake High School's Trenton Smith won't give up a sport when he moves to the next level.

Smith signed a letter of intent Tuesday to play basketball and run track at Highland Community College.

The 6' shooting guard averaged 20.2 points per game his senior season, en route to earning his second-straight all 3A honorable mention honor.

In track, Smith says he plans to run the 200 in addition to the 400 hurdles and 110 hurdles.

Smith also boasts a 3.7 GPA.
