Topeka, Kan. (WIBW) -- The Topeka Shawnee County Sports Council announced it's 2014 Hall of Fame inductees on Friday.
They are Ed Delk and C.J. Hamilton.
Delk graduated from Highland Park High School in 1953 and was awarded a full-ride basketball scholarship to Kansas State. Delk only played one semester, because he left to join the Army.
He would later return to McPherson College and play basketball and football.
Hamilton graduated from Silver Lake High School, and after went to Washburn University. While Hamilton was there he earned ALL-RMAC baseball honors as a second baseman his junior and senior year.
The Topeka Shawneee County Sports Council will also recognize superb high school area athletes with awards in 10 different categories.
