Lady Hornets Remain In Top 25

The Emporia State Lady Hornets dropped two spots in this week's ESPN/USA Today/WBCA National Top 25, checking in at #22 this week. This is the 201st poll the Lady Hornets have been in since first appearing in the 1997-98 preseason poll. ESU has received votes in 218 of the 222 polls since then.
The Lady Hornets are one of three MIAA teams in this week's Top 25 with one more team receiving votes. A total of six teams from the South Central Region are ranked in the top 25 with four more teams receiving votes this week.
The 25th Top 25 edition of the Turnpike Tussle is on tap for Wednesday night in White Auditorium when the #22 Lady Hornets play host to #12 Washburn. Both of the teams have been ranked in 24 of the previous 26 meetings. Tip-off is set for 5:30 p.m. with the doors to White Auditorium scheduled to open at 4:30 p.m.
