The Emporia State Hornets were not picked by the Division II Selection Committee for the DII Playoffs despite going 9-2 in the MIAA, but the Hornets ended up with a bowl game instead.
E-State will square off with Texas A&M Kingsville out of the Lone Star Conference in the 4th Annual Kanza Bowl at Hummer Sports Park in Topeka, Kansas on November 25th.
The Javelinas finished the regular season with a 6-5 record. It will be the first time in the Kanza Bowl for either team.
An official press conference to announce the teams is planned for Monday morning.
