Kansas-Texas Scheduled for 11 a.m. Kickoff on FSN

LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas football will make its seventh-straight national broadcast appearance on Saturday, Oct. 27, when the Jayhawks host Texas at 11 a.m. The Big 12 announced television selections Monday and KU’s contest with the Longhorns garnered the first game of a triple-header on Fox Sports Net.

The game with Texas will mark the third-straight week that the Jayhawks have appeared on FSN and the fourth time total in 2012. KU also faced Rice and Oklahoma State in games seen on FSN and will play Oklahoma on the national sports network this upcoming weekend. Since the beginning of the 2010 season, KU has appeared on FSN 15 times.

Kansas is hosting Texas for the first time since 2008, when the Longhorns claimed a 35-7 win at Memorial Stadium on Nov. 15. UT leads the all-time series with KU 9-2, including 4-2 in games played in Lawrence. KU’s last win in the series came in 1938.

The Jayhawks are looking for their first conference victory of the season Saturday when they travel to No. 9 Oklahoma at 6 p.m. The game will be televised nationally on Fox Sports Net and can be heard on the Jayhawk Radio Network as well as online, on AT&T Jayhawk All-Access.
