MANHATTAN, Kan. – Kansas State basketball coaches Bruce Weber and Deb Patterson will be the featured guests at the annual Kansas City Catbackers’ basketball banquet to be held Tuesday, Sept. 25 from 5-9 p.m. at the Ritz Charles in Overland Park, Kan.
Weber will be joined at the event by seniors Rodney McGruder, Jordan Henriquez and Martavious Irving and Overland Park native and junior Will Spradling. Along with Patterson, the women’s basketball team will be represented by juniors Chantay Caron, Katya Leick and Ashlynn Knoll as well as freshman Kelly Thomson.
Doors will open at 5 p.m., with dinner starting at 6 p.m. The program will begin around 6:45 p.m.
There are a number of pricing options for fans who want to attend the banquet. The White Level is $35 and includes admission and dinner, the Gray Level is $50 and includes admission and premium seating for dinner, while the Purple Level is $75 and includes admission, premium seating for dinner and a Powercat Reception from 5-7 p.m., with members of both teams and the athletics department. The Powercat Reception will include appetizers and an open bar. There is also a $10 standing room-only ticket.

The men’s basketball team returns 12 lettermen, including four starters, from a team that won 22 games and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in the last five years. Patterson, who is in her 17th season at K-State, returns six letterwinners, including two starters, in 2012-13 from a squad that also won 20 games and advanced to the NCAA Tournament for the fourth time in five years.
Season tickets are currently on sale for both teams with the men hosting 18 games and the women 16 games at Bramlage Coliseum. Tickets can be purchased in a variety of ways, including toll free at (800) 221-CATS (2287), online at www.kstatesports.com and in-person at the ticket office. Prices remain the same for 2012-13.
