Senior Duo Powers Jayhawks Past Redhawks

Angel Goodrich (78-2), Catherine (Bunny) Williams (2-2), Monica Engelman (70-2), Carolyn Davis (72-2) and Natalie Knight (36-2).

-Gives the Jayhawks a 2-0 record for the season.
-Improves head coach Bonnie Henrickson’s record at KU (9th season) to 140-121 and career record to 298-183 (16th season).
-Gives the Jayhawks their first ever win against the Redhawks, 1-0 and makes them 5-0 against the Ohio Valley Conference.
-Gives Kansas a 2-0 start for the seventh time in the last nine season, including six straight.
-Improves the Jayhawks all-time record to 737-519.
-Improves KU’s all-time non-conference record to 317-147
-Improves Kansas’s all-time home record to 389-210.

-Kansas opened the game with a 9-0 over the first 3:43 of the contest.
-The Jayhawks held the SEMO starters scoreless for the first 11:10 of the game.
-Kansas allowed just one field goal in the last 4:23 of the first half.
-The Jayhawks are now 114-27 under Henrickson when leading at halftime.
-The Jayhawks went on a 12-0 run over seven minutes in the second half (13:04-6:04).
-Kansas allowed 58 points, making them 121-67 under Henrickson when surrendering fewer than 70 points.
-Kansas outrebounded the Redhawks 44-36, making them 97-39 under Henrickson when they outrebound their opponent.

-Senior guard Monica Engelman finished the game with a career-high 11 rebounds.
-Senior forward Carolyn Davis scored eight straight points for the Jayhawks, during a 3:27 stretch in the second half.
-Davis finished the game with 27 points, marking the 28th time she has eclipsed the 20-point mark in her career.
-Senior guard Angel Goodrich finished the game with 8 assists in the game. This is the 65th time she has reached at least five assists in a game for her career. KU has won 45 of those games.
-Goodrich scored a team-high 15 points in the first half and finished the game with 17 points. That is the 39th game of her career in which she has reached double figures.
-Redshirt junior Tania Jackson finished the game with 12 points and 13 rebounds, completing the third double-double of her career. The 13 rebounds were also a career-high for Jackson.
