LAWRENCE, Kan. (WIBW) – Kansas Jayhawks' football may get a break to start the season, but then it's showtime!
Following a Week 1 bye, the Jayhawks' first two games of the season will be televised, the university said following the release of the Big 12's television schedule for the first three weeks of the season.
Charlie Weis' team will kickoff its season against Southeast Missouri State University on Saturday, Sept. 6, at 6:00 p.m. The game will be played on the Jayhawk Television Network in Kansas and the Kansas City-area and on ESPN3 for the rest of the country.
The next week, the Jawhawks hit the road for Durham, N.C., and their game against Duke University on Saturday, Sept. 13. The 2:30 p.m. (CT) game will air on the ACC Regional Sports Networks.
After that, they come back to Lawrence for games against Central Michigan and Texas on Sept. 20 and Sept. 27, respectively. They will also welcome Oklahoma State (Oct. 11), Iowa State (Nov. 8), and TCU (Nov. 15) to Memorial Stadium this year.
