Game Time Set For K-State’s First Round WNIT Game

MANHATTAN, Kan. – Tipoff for Kansas State’s first round WNIT matchup against Texas Southern has been set for 7 p.m., in Bramlage Coliseum, the WNIT announced today.

Tickets for Thursday night’s game are available now by calling the K-State Ticket Office at (800) 221-CATS, visiting wwwkstatesports.com/tickets or by stopping by the K-State Athletic Ticket Office in Bramlage Coliseum. Tickets are priced at $15 for chair backs, $10 for adult general admission and $5 for student and children. Priority seating for season ticket holders will not be available for the WNIT, with all tickets made available on a first come first serve basis.

The Wildcats (15-17, 5-13 Big 12) and Lady Tigers (20-11, 16-2 SWAC) will meet for the second time. K-State defeated Texas Southern, 84-41, on Dec. 1, 2000, in Manhattan.

Thursday’s game will be broadcast for free on K-StateHD.TV, throughout the K-State Sports Network and for free on kstatesports.com.

K-State is 9-2 in its previous three WNIT Tournament appearances in 1999, 2006 and 2007. The Wildcats captured the 2006 WNIT title for the first postseason title in school history in front of a sell-out crowd of 13,340 fans.

The winner of the Kansas State-Texas Southern game will play the winner of the Illinois State-IUPUI matchup on either March 23, 24 or 25 at a site to be determined.
