Emporia State Volleyball Takes On Truman In MIAA Tournament

November 10, 2012 - The Emporia State volleyball team has earned the #5 seed and will travel to #13 Truman, the #4 seed, for the opening round of the MIAA Tournament on Tuesday.

The Hornets are led offensively by junior outside hitter Paige Vanderpool, who is averaging 2.72 kills and 3.25 digs per set. Defensively, the Hornets are led by senior libero Meg Schwartz, who is averaging 5.35 digs per set.

The Bulldogs and Hornets last met Friday in Emporia, which Truman won in five sets.

First serve from Kirksville is set for 7:00 p.m.
