BOSTON (CBS) -- Royals pitcher Danny Duffy took a loss Saturday despite giving up just two runs (one earned) on six hits and three walks in 6 2/3 innings and striking out two in his team's 2-1 defeat against the Red Sox.

Duffy (5-10) is 1-5 in his last six starts, but he's surrendered no more than two earned runs in five of his outings during that stretch. The lack of offensive support has led him to post a terrible record alongside a 2.66 ERA, 1.12 WHIP and 69:32 K:BB ratio in 91 1/3 innings. Duffy is scheduled to take on the Indians Thursday.
