The National Football League informed the Chiefs on Thursday that QB Matt Cassel has been named to the AFC roster for the 2011 AFC-NFC Pro Bowl. The Pro Bowl will be played at Aloha Stadium in Honolulu, Hawaii on Sunday, January 30th.
Cassel (6-4, 230) started 15 games in 2010, completing 262 of 450 passes for 3,116 yards with a career-high 27 TDs and seven INTs, good for a personal-best 93.0 rating. During the 2010 season, he enjoyed a career-long stretch of 162 consecutive pass attempts without an INT, the third-longest streak in Chiefs history, while his 1.56 INT percentage ranked fourth in the NFL. The University of Southern California product earned AFC Offensive Player of the Month accolades in November after connecting on 90 of 144 passes (62.5%) for 1,111 yards with 12 TDs and only one INT for a 111.2 rating.

He has six career 300-yard passing games and has posted a 100.0+ rating (min. 20 attempts) in 12 contests with six of those 100.0-rating games coming in 2010. Cassel was acquired by the Chiefs in a trade with New England in 2009.
