The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Saturday that the club has signed WR Verran Tucker to the 53-man roster from the practice squad.
Tucker (6-1, 204) originally entered the NFL as a rookie free agent with Dallas in 2010. He spent the first five games of the season on the Chiefs practice squad. He played in 23 games at the University of California, catching 50 passes for 815 yards (16.3 avg.) with four TDs after beginning his collegiate career at El Camino Junior College. He prepped at Fairfax High School in Los Angeles, California.
The club released WR Jeremy Horne on Saturday. Horne played in three games with Kansas City in 2010 after originally joining the club as a rookie free agent from the University of Massachusetts.
