LAWRENCE, Kan. – Kansas football head coach Charlie Weis’ statement regarding linebacker Ben Heeney.
“We are fully aware of the situation involving Ben. We have discussed this with all of the parties involved and believe we know what truly happened. We are handling it internally with appropriate measures.”
According to the Lawrence Journal World, Heeney was cited for misdemeanor battery after an incident outside of a night club in Lawrence on Friday night.
