SPRINGFIELD, Mo. – Casyn Buchman tied a school record with a perfect night from the free throw line but the Ichabods couldn't fight back in a 91-79 loss Thursday at Drury.

The Ichabods ended their four-game, season opening road trip against NCAA II opponents at 2-2 and will play their home opener Saturday at 1 p.m. against Southwestern (Kan.) at Schendel Court at Lee Arena. The Lady Panthers finished their tour of MIAA schools with a 4-0 start to their season.

Buchman went 12 of 12 from the free throw line to become the third Washburn player to go perfect from the line with at least 12 attempts. The 12 makes is the second most in school history since single-game records were first kept in 1999-00.

Buchman shot 6 of 14 from the field but 0 of 5 from 3-point range to lead Washburn with 24 points. Brittney Lynch was 5 of 7 from the field for 11 points and she added a team-high eight rebounds.

Washburn was just 3 of 18 from long range while Drury hit 12 of 27 shots from beyond the arc. Overall, Drury shot 49 percent from the field while Washburn was 39 percent.

Janelle Travis hit a 3-pointer on the first possession of the game but after five ties, Drury took the lead for good at the 13:00 mark of the first half. A 10-0 run gave the Panthers a 28-17 lead at 9:40. Washburn later cut its deficit to a point on a 7-0 run later but trailed at halftime, 43-35.

The Ichabods got as close as five points down in the second half but the Panthers were able to build a game-high 19-point lead at the 5:35 mark at 83-64 and keep it in double figures after that.

Travis ended with nine points and tied Buchman with four assists each. Allyssa Nikkel came off the bench to score a career high eight points on 6 of 7 free throws. Overall, Washburn was 82 percent from the line.

Kylie Williamson led three Lady Panthers in double figures with 27 points. She was 9 of 14 from the field and 6 of 10 from the line. She also led her team with seven points.

Buchman joined Janice Bright and Bojana Samardziska as Washburn players to go perfect from the free throw line with at least 12 attempts. Bright made all 15 attempts on January 7, 2009 at Emporia State and Samardziska made all 12 attempts against Panhandle State on November 30, 2005. Buchman became the fourth Ichabod to make 12 free throws, the second highest total in school history. Bright's 15 is the school record.
