Xavier Burnette scored a game high 26 points to lead the White team to an 85-75 win over the Black team in the ESU Men’s Basketball Alumni game.
Burnette had 18 points in the first half as the Black team built a 42-37 lead. The White team, led by Lamar Wilbern’s 26 points, closed the gap to within two in the second half before the Black pulled away.
Burnette was joined in double figures by Marvin Lee with 13 points, Spencer Allen with 11 points and Wes Book with ten points. Ryan Blevins was the only other member of the White team in double figures, ending with 15 points.
The Alumni will be honored at half time of tonight’s ESU men’s game against #19 Missouri Southern. Tip-off is set for 7:30 p.m. at White Auditorium.
