KANSAS CITY, Mo. (AP) _ Sunday's game between Kansas City and
San Diego features the NFL's top two running backs -- last year.
The Chargers' LaDainian Tomlinson was the league MVP and rushing
champion with 1,815 yards. But he's averaging only 2.3 yards a
carry this season, with 130 yards on 57 carries.
That puts him near the bottom of the NFL rushing charts -- near
Larry Johnson of the Kansas City Chiefs.
Johnson ran for 1,789 yards last year on a league-record 416
carries. But he's got only 140 yards on 50 carries for a 2.8-yard
average this year.
The Chargers and Chiefs are both 1-2.
